Kvidt Personal Training

Who am I?

My name is Bobby Kvidt. I'm a Personal Trainer located in Washington State. I started lifting in 2014, writing about fitness back in 2016, and officially started coaching in 2019.

I grew up playing every sport I could get my hands on. Once I got to college and realized being 5'10 really hurt my chances in the NBA and I probably wasn't going to continue growing into my 20s, I got into strength training. A few years after that, I got into powerlifting.

Strength training taught me how to be regimented, disciplined and organized. Those traits bled over into my everyday life in the form of a proper sleep schedule, proper nutrition, and excelling in my studies at the time.

In my time in the industry, I learned three important things:

  1. Most people have a general idea of what they want, but don't know what they need to do and often don't know where to find that information.
  2. Most people haven't been given an honest expectation of what to expect, for better and for worse. You're likely more capable than you think, but your results are going to take longer than you've been promised.
  3. When people do start, they often don't know how to continue seeing results which leads to plateaus and frustration. This makes a good coach invaluable, and a bad coach an expensive waste of time.

Getting in shape isn't complicated in theory. Staying on track, figuring out the smaller details, and not getting lost in an ocean of misinformation makes it difficult though.

I will help you set goals that are realistic and intelligently thought out. Whether that means losing weight, building muscle, or strengthening your body to maintain your independence and/or be able to play with your grandkids, there's ways to make explicit goals and roadmaps towards accomplishing those goals.

Strength is for everyone: whether you want to compete in strength sports, play with your grandkids and not get tired, or simply just become strong and remain independent for the rest of your life.

Sign up, put in the work, get the results.

If you are looking for a trainer who is professional, attentive, and definitely produces great results, Bobby Kvidt won’t disappoint! Bobby tailors my workout routine to both build up my strength and to rehab my problem areas such as my shoulders and knees. I am 59 and I feel better than I did 10 years ago. I used to not be able to even reach into my cupboard without pain in my shoulder. I was so beat up, tired, and in pain all the time. Now, the pain is minimal and infrequent. I can work around the yard, go water skiing and wake boarding, and live the retirement life how I want to.

Thanks Bobby.

I had recently retired, and I wanted to start focusing more on my health and wellbeing.  One of those goals was to start weight training to help build strength as well as bone density as I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia.

After training I had gained a sense of confidence in what the core groups of muscles are, what exercises I can use to strengthen them and how to build a program to keep my training up... I am now able to lift and carry more things (grandkids, mulch, furniture etc.) around without the aches and pains I used to have.

I was comfortable working with Bobby because he listened to what I wanted to achieve...It is important to work on building the strength and endurance of your body to capitalize on all the new things you want to try in retirement.  It also helps to build an empowering sense of confidence in your ability to take on new challenges.  For example… If I can deadlift 190 lbs., something I never ever ever thought I would be able to do, maybe I should tackle other things in life that I never thought I could do.

I have been working with Bobby for over a year now, and have noticed significant gain in my health and mobility. He is knowledgeble in selecting the right exercises for my goals. He challenges me and gives me grace when needed. I highly recommend Bobby if you want to improve your quality of life.

I've loved being coached by Bobby. He is excellent at his job, and is always pushing hard to become more knowledgeable about exercise, training, nutrition, and anything that he can use to help his clients. He's been writing my programming for the past year and a half, and his excel sheets are easy to navigate, with plenty of inputs to regulate variables like fatigue and RPE. He's always open to input and we often discuss the details of how to best manipulate volume, fatigue, overload, and etc. As a powerlifter, Bobby's coaching has made a huge impact on my gym total and, when I step on the platform, he's the one I want in my corner to help me crush a new competition total. Thanks for all your hard work, Bobby!

I have been training with Bobby for a few months now, but he has already been a great trainer in lots of ways. I told him that I wanted to start lifting again and putting on muscle, and he set up a program I was able to run with. In a short amount of time I already began to see really exciting results, and whenever I had questions he was always quick to help me out and explain. Even when I broke my foot halfway through, he was quick to pivot and adjust my plan so that I could still continue working out and get results where I was able to, and didn't have to just give up on working out completely. I am super happy with my progress so far, and can't wait for Bobby to help me get even further with my workout goals!

Working with Bobby (online) via personalized training and nutrition programs was one of the best decisions I made towards the improvement of my health. Any questions I asked were answered thoroughly and with evidence to back them up. There were no "quick fix" diets or exercises to see fast results. What there were, however, were scientifically-backed programs designed around my personal goals, which felt directly targeted. As a basketball player, Bobby designed a program focused on explosiveness and increasing my vertical. In 10 weeks, I lost 10 lbs, and gained the knowledge and discipline to keep it off. I also imprpoved my vertical by 6 inches and was able to achieve a standing, two hand dunk from under the net for the first time. Bobby is very knowledgeable of his craft and genuinely cares about your health and goals. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to make meaningful progress towards a healthier lifestyle.
